If you have arrived in Northern Ireland under the Homes for Ukraine, Ukraine Family Scheme or Ukraine Extension Scheme, you will be entitled to a one off £200 payment to help you buy the things you need, until you can work or get benefits. This is a one-off payment that does not need to be paid back.
Each individual will receive £200. You can cash your voucher at any Post Office in Northern Ireland.
Each adult member of your family will receive their money individually and must complete an individual application.
The money for each child and young person aged under 18 years will be given to the main applicant.
As you will have to wait for your first benefits payment, we recommend you use this support payment to purchase items that you feel are essential to you. Essential items may be things for your new home and your family, such as food and clothes.
It is important to budget your spending as you will have to wait some weeks until you receive your benefits.
In Northern Ireland our currency is Pound Sterling.
It may be a little confusing to see that the bank notes here can come from many different banks and can be different colours.
Although some notes may look different, their value is the same.
It is important that you keep your money safe; it is a one-off payment which cannot be replaced if it is lost.
